Population
Morrisville has long been a desirable location for business. Now residents have discovered the benefits of the “Heart of the Triangle” which has resulted in the population growing exponentially the last 30 years.
According to the U.S. Census, Morrisville’s population in 1980 was 251. In 1990 it was 1,489. By the 2000 census, Morrisville had grown to 5,208 people. The new century brought unprecedented business and residential growth, with the 2010 population numbers at 18,576. The town commissioned a special census in 2015 to more accurately reflect the tax base, revealing that the population had jumped to 23,699. The projected growth rate puts Morrisville’s population near 30,000 by 2035.
