Morrisville has long been a desirable location for business. Now residents have discovered the benefits of the "Heart of the Triangle" which has resulted in the population growing exponentially the last 30 years. . According to the U.S. Census, Morrisville's population in 1980 was 251, in 1990 it was 1,489. By the 2000 census, Morrisville had grown to 5,208 people. The new century brought unprecedented business and residential growth with the 2010 population numbers at 18,576.
